Ready, Aim, Shoot!

Recently, the video from ANC News Channel on how the Super Yolanda and Napoles Firecrackers appearing on news and the social media and even word of mouth. These illegal bangers are bestsellers among those who buy contrabands. On TV, they cut a portion of hog's hind leg for actual demonstration of these firecrackers effects on the hog's hind from the explosion. The potential risk it can cause are far greater than the benefits it can give. It looks like a blown of hand of a human from an  exploding  hand grenade or incendiaries.

Firecrackers where discovered by Chinese alchemists as early 200 BC.In traditional Chinese, its purpose was to drive evil spirits away. However, the hindsight of economic pinch is affecting most of the locally registered companies and manufacturers from Bulacan who are in the forefront of this industry are closing  shop and so proliferation of illegal or fly-by-night operations of illicit manufactures are taking over the industry plus the importation of smuggled goods coming from other countries like Taiwan, Mainland China and other countries which affect our corrupted tax and tariff system.

In reality it has become nuisance to public on the irresponsible use of bangers with huge loss on property, lives and even fingers or limbs of the survivors, even our pets (dogs, cats and other animals) are very afraid of such heavy noises and would hide under the bed or at bathrooms.

As I got mature and responsible, I just can't see the point of burning money with this stuff. We stop using firecrackers for the past 10 years and resorted to more safer method like videoke, honking your car horns, and other things that can create noises. It may be fun for children or adults who are still at kids at heart but I wouldn't dare risk my life and limb for a 100 pesos of these.

As we celebrate New Year in a few hours time, I am hoping that we are complete with our family, friends and loved ones plus our life and limbs are completely intact in welcoming 2014 with renewed hope.
